Sergio & The Dark Templars
Before the Chamber’s rise to total dominance, the Dark Templars functioned as the most elite security force in the region. They were tasked with protecting the largest church in the land and were trained to a standard few could match. Their combat efficiency bordered on perfection. Precision, coordination, and restraint defined their approach. Their moral code was singular and unwavering. Service to the church came before survival, ambition, or power.
For a time, they stood as the most significant obstacle to the Chamber of Roses’ expansion. Their discipline and unity made them difficult to overwhelm. That resistance did not end through battlefield defeat alone. It ended through betrayal. Church leadership, facing annihilation, surrendered the Dark Templars to the Chamber in exchange for preservation.
Once the transfer was complete, the Dark Templars’ code of honor bound them to their new masters. Loyalty, once sworn, could not be revoked. The Chamber understood this and moved quickly to repurpose them as a personal military force.
Today, the Dark Templars serve as the Chamber’s most feared weapon. They act as personal security for elite leadership and are deployed only when conventional enforcement fails. Their presence signals finality. Conflicts end when they arrive.
Sergio stands at the center of this force. Once a priest devoted entirely to the church, he was thrust into combat while defending his brothers during an early Chamber assault. His instincts, leadership, and combat ability emerged under pressure. Over time, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the Dark Templars’ highest-ranking member and General.
Sergio does not command from a distance. He leads strategy and executes it personally, fighting alongside his unit at an elite level. His authority comes from experience and action, not ceremony.
After the Chamber seized control of the Dark Templars, Edgar introduced a synthetic compound known as CHRM SXTY. The drug enhances alertness, endurance, and combat efficiency while suppressing moral hesitation and emotional response. Its use ensures obedience and further distances the Templars from the faith that once defined them.
The Dark Templars now answer only to Arthur Magnus and Lomax. Their loyalty is enforced through conditioning, chemistry, and code. What remains is a force stripped of its original purpose and rebuilt into something colder and more efficient.
They were once guardians.
They are now instruments.
And they remain unmatched.
