Who Is Jericho Cutter?

This is the first in an ongoing series introducing the key characters that inhabit the world of Jericho Cutter.

Jericho Cutter is built for combat, but he doesn’t remember how or why.

From his first appearance, he is defined by restraint. He is quiet, focused, and efficient. He speaks only when necessary and shows little outward emotion. His behavior suggests training at a level beyond standard human capability, even if the origin of that training has been erased from his memory.

Physically, Cutter is enhanced. His reactions are fast. His movements are precise. His instincts function at a military-grade level. In confrontations, he looks for the most direct path to the objective, avoiding excess force or unnecessary risk. Fighting is not an expression of anger or identity for him. It is execution.

Despite his capabilities, Cutter does not see himself as a hero or a villain. His actions are guided by a clear moral compass rather than ideology or allegiance. He understands that he was shaped for a specific purpose and that someone made deliberate choices about what he would become. What he doesn’t yet understand is who made those choices, or why.

As fragments of his past begin to surface, Cutter’s focus sharpens. The search for answers becomes inseparable from a growing drive for revenge. His journey is not just about recovering memory, but about confronting the systems and individuals responsible for his condition.

That journey takes him through radically different environments, from technologically advanced dystopian cities to post-apocalyptic wastelands. Along the way, he encounters allies and adversaries shaped by the same broken world, each interaction revealing more about the forces at work behind the scenes.

Cutter’s long-term trajectory is tied to a larger conflict involving The Chamber of Roses. As he uncovers the truth behind his creation, he moves closer to a role he did not choose but may be forced to accept: leadership within a revolution aimed at dismantling that power structure.

What’s at stake is not framed as personal redemption. If Cutter succeeds, the possibility of a new world defined by hope and peace emerges. If he fails, the alternative is a future ruled by manipulation, violence, and despair.

Jericho Cutter is not searching for greatness.
He is searching for clarity.
What follows depends on what he uncovers, and what he decides to do with it.
